Anbar Rappers “Mr Legendary” and "IQ Kid" offers “Final Advice” on curbing the spread of COVID-19

“Our song reminds everyone that we need to be leaders. We need to rise to the challenge presented by Covid-19”, said Mr Legendary who dispenses his advice with the help from fellow HHU Crew member IQ Kid. “It has been inspiring to work with creative artists and technicians from different parts of the country to influence others in a positive direction through our art. Our lyrics and music are our way of encouraging society to work together across different regions, cultures and backgrounds, to do what is necessary to fight this pandemic as a cohesive whole. We need to unite in our response while staying apart. We need to support the most disadvantaged among us to exercise their human rights. Hailing from Heet in Anbar, the rappers worked with a production team of Arabs, Kurds and Assyrians from Anbar, Erbil and Ninewa governorates.

Whilst the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continue to decrease in Iraq, many countries have seen a resurgence of the virus to record levels, highlighting the need for us all to continue following COVID prevention measures.
