Logistics Assistant / Warehousing - Erbil

Context:
Under general guidance of the Chief of Mission (CoM)& (DCoM), under overall supervision of the Head of Resource Management Unit, and under the direct supervision of the Supply Chain Management Officer

Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for updating the portal and keep track of all movements of t items/packages for emergency relief programs
2. Responsible to maintain the warehouse system in the portal to make sure it working properly in close coordination with IM/IT department for the packages under emergency programs
3. To maintain an appropriate layout of the warehouse, including configuration of racks, enduring availability of sufficient number of pallets bins and boxes.
4. Assist in drawing up plan for optimal positioning of in-bound goods in the warehouse and for the physical organization of dispatch function.
5. Assist in coordinating with logistics and program staff on supply and delivery schedules in order to rationalize available warehouse capacities.
6. Help and participate in the process of standardization of the composition of IKG packages and in regular update the emergency catalogue.
7. Assist in verifying, counting and keeping proper records of all goods arriving in the warehouse and affixing barcode labels and assigning them with proper stock cards.
8. Assist in entering incoming goods into the IOM Warehouse Inventory Database and use other relevant IOM warehouse documentation on a daily basis.
9. Assist in performing physical counts, comparing and verifying the quantities of stored goods with the Warehouse Inventory Database, on a weekly basis and on ad hoc basis whenever needed.
10. Assist the warehouse manager to report for any future deficit of the items inside warehouse to be replenished.
11. Assist in verification, counting and keeping proper records of all goods going out from the warehouse on a daily basis.
12. Help and support the the other staff on proper and accurate use of the Warehouse Inventory Database, for records keeping and filing in the warehouse office space and update the active database with new designed packages.
13. Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene and security in the warehouse.
14. Ensure proper and safe operation of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, cranes, power generators and packing tools.
15. Such other duties within the incumbent's capabilities as assigned by the Supply Chain Officer.
