- Iraq is entering into a third consecutive drought year.
- With a second year of crop failure in rainfed areas, Iraq was able to produce only 2.7 million tons of wheat from irrigated areas during agriculture year 2021-22.
- The prices of essential food commodities were generally stable, primarily because of regular PDS distributions.
- The oil revenue for Iraq during October was around USD9.2 billion.
