Statement by DSRSG for Political Affairs and Electoral Assistance Alice Walpole at IHEC following announcement of the end of the vote recount process

Baghdad, 6 August 2018 The United Nations is pleased to confirm, having observed this recount process from beginning to the end, that we believe it was conducted in a manner that is credible, professional and transparent. 

We are very pleased that it's been concluded and we look forward to the next steps in this process towards formation of the new government.
