UNAMI HRO training on "Submission of Stakeholder Report by CSOs to the UPR"

The Human Rights Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) organized a one-day training on “Submission of Stakeholder Report by civil society organizations to the Universal Periodic Review” for NGOs from Kirkuk, Diyala, and Salah al-Din governorates. A total of 10 organizations benefitted from this training, with 1 female and 10 male representatives in attendance. Participants received an overview of the Universal Periodic Review mechanism, explaining the process for drafting the civil society report, the submission procedure, and guidelines on how to participate in the 4th cycle review of Iraq scheduled for January/February 2025. Participating organizations can make submissions individually or jointly as feasible.
