UNITED NATIONS IRAQ SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION FRAMEWORK 2025-2029
The Cooperation Framework serves as the United Nations’ main strategic planning and implementation framework in Iraq for the period 2025–2029. Developed jointly with the Government of Iraq through extensive consultations with national and international stakeholders, it aligns with Iraq’s National Development Plan 2024–2028 and Vision 2030.The Framework focuses on four interconnected strategic priorities:Inclusive Social DevelopmentSustainable Economic Development, Livelihoods and EmploymentEnvironment and Climate Change ResilienceGood Governance and Rule of LawGuided by the principle of “Leaving No One Behind,” the Framework prioritizes support for women, youth, children, displaced populations, refugees, persons with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups. It also supports Iraq’s transition toward long-term sustainable development and strengthened national systems.
