UN Women
UN Women is the United Nations entity dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. A global champion for women and girls, UN Women was established to accelerate progress on meeting their needs worldwide.
UNAMI
The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq is a political mission. UNAMI’s mandate is to advise the Government of Iraq in advancing the political dialogue, assist in the electoral process and facilitate dialogue in the region to promote human rights and judicial and legal reforms.
UNESCO
UNESCO’s mission is to contribute to the building of peace, the eradication of poverty, sustainable development and intercultural dialogue through education, the sciences, culture, communication and information.
UNITAD
UNITAD is an independent and impartial accountability mechanism mandated by the UN Security Council to support domestic efforts to hold ISIL accountable by collecting, preserving and storing evidence in Iraq of acts that might amount to war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide committed.
UNOCT
The creation of the Office is considered as the first major institutional reform undertaken by the UN Secretary-General António Guterres on the Capability of the United Nations to Assist Member States in implementing the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.
WHO
WHO leads the global efforts in public health to coordinate the world’s response to health emergencies, provide technical support to expand universal health coverage, serve the vulnerable - so everyone, everywhere can attain the equal chance to live a healthy life.
