UNAMI Human Rights Office organizes a training on “Violence and harassment against women in the world of work” in Diyala

The Human Rights Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) organized a training on “Violence and harassment against women in the world of work” for staff members of the Women Affairs Department in Diyala governorate. 15 female and 3 male staff members received a brief on the Iraqi and international legislation on the matter. Participants discussed how to identify cases of violence and harassment in the workplace and their impact. They were encouraged to reflect on their role in addressing this issue and developing measures to make the workplace a safe space for women.
