Everyone knows the importance of energy in our daily life and the continuous increase in energy consumption.
Due to dependency on fossil fuels, there has been a rise in thermal emissions and climate pollution. Therefore, the United Nations adopted the idea of using clean energy sources such as solar energy and others.
The project began in 2019. We were able to produce approximately 18% of the UN Mission's energy consumption in Iraq.
Subsequently, the current phase of the new project started in early 2023, and now we are in the operational phase. Through this project, we will be able to attain 50% of the energy consumption in the UN facilities.
One of the benefits of this project is that we will be able to generate more than 5 Gigawatts of clean energy annually, thus reducing the burden on the national grid.
In addition to the current project, we have additional projects which utilize clean and solar energy, such as solar-powered lights and water heaters.
The use of clean energy is diverse.
