Erbil, 6 July 2021 – Today, UNAMI Human Rights Office and the All Survivors Project, an international NGO, concluded a two-day sensitization online workshop which explored the core principles and specific considerations for documenting conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) against men and boys. The workshop was attended by 11 participants (8 women and 3 men) members of the UN Iraq Monitoring Analysis Reporting Arrangements (MARA)Technical Working Group and aimed to strengthen the capacity of human rights actors in Iraq on conducting ethical and safe monitoring and documentation of CRSV against men and boys, individuals who are sometimes excluded when monitoring and reporting CRSV. The workshop aimed to assist participants to address issues of CRSV against men and boys.
