UNAMI HRO holds a workshop on “NGO engagement with UN Human Rights Mechanisms”

The Human Rights Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) organized a two-day workshop on “NGO engagement with UN Human Rights Mechanisms” with the participation of 33 (9 female and 24 male) representatives of NGOs from Erbil, Duhok and Sulaymaniyah. The training aimed at enhancing their understanding of United Nations human rights mechanisms and familiarizing them with role of civil society actors in effectively working with these tools for the implementation of the state human rights obligations and the recommendations issued to the state by these mechanisms.
