SRSG Al Hassan attends Easter Mass

The Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq and Head of UNAMI, Dr. Mohamed Al Hassan, attended today the Easter Mass held at the Latin Cathedral of St. Joseph and St. Teresa of the Child Jesus in Baghdad.

On this occasion, the Special Representative delivered a speech in which he affirmed the important role of Christians in Iraq, a role that enriches the history and diversity of this ancient country. He also stressed the need to protect Christians and their beliefs.
