Erbil, 19 April 2018 – The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Erbil Governorate completed the rehabilitation of the main water treatment plant in Rawanduz sub-district, which provided safe drinking water to over 33,000 people, including 2,000 internally displaced people (IDPs).

Baghdad – IOM, the UN Migration Agency, and the Government of Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) this week agreed to intensify collaboration to support sustainable reintegration of Iraqi migrants in their home communities in Iraq, after returning from Germany and other European countries.

26 April 2018; Erbil, Iraq - The Government of Australia has committed to providing UNFPA Iraq with an allocation of AUD 12 million over three years. The timely allocation will support the emergency reproductive health (RH) and gender-based violence (GBV) related services in the country.
