Baghdad, 05 December 2017 – The United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) welcomes the contribution of 5 million Czech crown (US$232,000) from the Government of the Czech Republic to support the training of Iraqi local police.

Baghdad, 29 November 2017 - during a ceremony hosted by the Iraqi Communications and Media Committee (CMC), H. Exc. Mr. Bruno Aubert, Ambassador of France to Iraq and Mrs. Louise Haxthausen, UNESCO Director and Representative to Iraq, signed the project “Voices of Peace: Promoting Peaceful Coexistence in the Liberated Areas of Iraq through Community media”, in the presence of Dr. Ali Naser, Executive Director of the Communication and Media Commission of Iraq.

11 October 2022 - Baghdad — On 10 October, the General Directorate for Survivors Affairs under the Iraqi Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MOLSA) signed a Cooperation Agreement with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), aimed at supporting the implementation of the landmark Yezidi Survivors Law (YSL), adopted in 2021.

Basra, Iraq, 10 October 2022 - The Food and Agriculture Organization of The United Nations (FAO) in Iraq launched a 5-day training for agriculture extension staff to facilitate the implementation of “Farmer Field Schools” (FFS) in Basra, ThiQar and Missan Governorates. In total, 25 people participated, including 6 women.
