UN Stands in Solidarity with Female Victims of Daesh, Calls for Adoption of Family Protection Bill, Participation of Women in post-Daesh Phase

Baghdad, 27 October 2016 – On the 16th anniversary of United Nations Security Council resolution 1325, a high level conference was held in Baghdad that primarily assessed progress made towards implementing the Iraqi National Action Plan on 1325.

Baghdad, Iraq, 25 October 2016 - The United Nations Assistance Mission to Iraq (UNAMI) and the Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED) convened a meeting in Baghdad today to take stock of multilateral and bilateral counter-terrorism assistance provided to Iraq within the framework of the priority technical assistance needs identified by the Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee in close cooperation with Iraq.

Baghdad, Iraq, 20 October 2016 – A workshop to enhance the negotiation and mediation skills of local civil society groups and women leaders, organized by the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) and UN Women, concluded in Baghdad today with calls for increased participation of civil society groups and women in future reconciliation efforts.
