Statement on rocket attack on the Green Zone

Baghdad, 12 February 2017 - The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) condemns the rocket attack on Saturday evening, 11 February on Baghdad Green Zone – the seat of the Government of Iraq, of the Council of Representatives and of many other state institutions.
At a time when the fight against terrorism of so called ISIL remains a priority, this sort of action only serves the interests and objectives of those terrorists.
