Message by the SRSG, Ad Melkert, on the occasion of Eid ul-Fitr

Let us remember during Eid festivities the thousands of Iraqi families of all faiths who are not able to enjoy Eid celebrations and any other celebration because of the loss of loved ones to acts of violence, poverty or deprivation.

On this Eid, I would like to renew the commitment of the United Nations family in Iraq to assist Iraq and its people in their quest for a better future to all Iraqis.
